Healing News
by Francis MacNutt (from the Sept/Oct 2002 issue)
In the May/June 2002 Healing Line you reported that 78 participants from various denominations are being trained in Toronto by Anglicans in a Baptist church using CHM videos.
Something similar has been happening at Christ Church (Episcopal) in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
During the past 2 years, our Prayer Ministry has facilitated Level I of the School of Healing Prayer 4 times. Facilitators have included not only our Episcopalian members, but also 2 people from other denominations and 2 Episcopalians from other parishes.
88 people from a wide geographical area representing 25 communities in 2 states and 29 churches of 10 denominations (Episcopal, Roman Catholic, Messianic Covenant, nondenominational, Baptist, United Church of Christ, Assembly of God, Foursquare and Congregational) fully or substantially completed the course. 13 additional people began the course but attended fewer sessions.
Here are the ministries that have come out of the School of Healing Prayer at Christ Church: 4 churches used the Foundations series in an Adult Ed setting; 4 intercessory prayer groups; 6 altar ministries; 2 healing service teams; 5 in-depth prayer ministries; 2 churches offering Level I and the Level I student manual used in a prison men's group. Hallelujah! and of course, out of the ministry has come salvation and much physical and inner healing and deliverance.
This fall we will offer our 4th Level II and our 1st Level III. Thank you for this fruit of your ministry.
In Christ,
Kathy LaRoche
