Pre-Service Instructions
Before the service, please read through the following instructions:
- Please download and print the "Preparation of the Family Tree" form (below). Please read over the first two pages of this form. If any of the topics on the first two pages pertain to your family story, please make a note of it on the third page (the page with the family tree). No one will see this form other than you. The form is simply a tool to help you get out of your heart and mind the area of generational concern in your family story. We will be discarding this form as part of the Generational Service.
- Please download the Generational Healing Service document (below). This document will include all of the prayers that we will use in this service. It may be a good idea to print out this document so you can have it on hand as we move through the service together.
- We know that some churches prefer that you celebrate the sacraments in the context of you local congregation only. Therefore, this is not a mandatory part of the service. If you would like to participate in communion, please prepare with some bread or crackers as well as wine or juice.
