At Open Prayer, participants are invited to engage in soaking prayer in the chapel as they wait for their prayer appointment. Once a prayer team is available, recipients are directed to a prayer room where they will receive a 20 to 30-minute prayer session with two trained volunteer prayer ministers.
Soaking Prayer is coming into the Presence of God in a posture of receiving, allowing Him to minister to you directly in body, mind, soul and spirit. It involves either sitting or lying in stillness, relaxed and inwardly turning toward Jesus. Often gentle worship music in the background helps to focus on God and experience His presence, for He dwells in our praise (Psalm 22:3).
