Testimonies

Scripture teaches us that testimonies are the fruit and evidence of God’s work in and through us. In developing this testimony page, it is our goal to encourage the body of Christ with stories of God at work. We hope you receive a blessing by viewing these stories and also learn more about what actually occurs here at CHM. You can even submit your own testimony.

Written Testimonies:

Healing of Suicide
"Jonathan, our youngest son, took his life at 24 years of age after a lifelong battle with severe, developing schizo-affective disorder on June 14, 2008. The Lord clear communicated that Jonathan was in His arms, but my husband and I were in shock. We had arranged to study the second level of prayer partnering at Christian Healing Ministries July 28 - August 1, 2008. I contacted the CHM staff and told them the situation and asked for advice and prayer. You responded that personal healing was involved at the conference and Francis and Judith MacNutt would be leading the group and we should come. It was what I discerned and it was perfect confirmation.
Mark and I were incredibly broken and fragile and were not comforting each other at all. Previously when I have been directed by the Lord to attend something I experienced His favor, but the first two days of the conference were miserable. My physical health had deteriorated from the stress of Jon's situation and all the other problems life throws our way. My back was hurting so bad I told Mark I would have to leave and come back to pick him up. Jeff Sampson "just happened" to be available to pray for me as we pondered the decision. He laid his hands on my back and the pain diminished. He asked why I didn't ask for prayer to begin with. I shrugged and said I thought I just had to endure it. It was clear that he was not pleased with my response.
The next session the Lord revealed my problem. I had to forgive every single person who had ever harmed or hurt Jonathan or me. That was a tall order and I knew it would take the rest of my life unless the Lord decided instantaneous healing was appropriate. The conference took on a whole different atmosphere after that. Mark experienced resting in the Spirit for the first time as Judith ministered to him. Francis looked right at me weeping and said, "You know I never weep when something is wrong, but I do when evil has been broken"! It is clear unforgiveness is a major block to healing. Praise God He revealed the error of my ways!"
